"A large, rectangular monster that screams when you touch its teeth.“ (Andres
Segovia’s definition of the piano from The Washington Post, 2 March 1980)
The inaugural episode of Cashmere’s new Classical music fixture Spartito is
dedicated to that beautiful monster: The Ear Has To Travel’s KitKat takes you on
a trip exploring Classical piano music from the Baroque era to the 20th Century.
The journey includes essential repertoire like Bach’s Goldberg Variations and
sonatas by Beethoven and Schubert, but also lesser known works by Ullmann,
Albéniz, Mompou, and Wieck-Schumann.
