Welcome to June's transmission!
The current state of the world has been giving me mixed emotions. And that's exactly what these 86 minutes entail ... a gumbo pot of emotions. I improvised with no clear end goal, just my feelings. We start off Jazzy, Lingala, then Ethnic- I finally get to share a treasure trove of field recordings of some indigenous communities in Africa recorded by Hugh Tracy many decades ago from Congo, Tanzania, South Africa, Kenya, Zambia etc. After this ... lemme not give a synopsis, the music is here, press play. It's quite the trip, all pun intended.
