In this episode for PlusX, Leonie Strecker and Nathalie Brum threaded together
four compositions that resulted out of a dialogue the two sound artists held
over the past months. In this exchange of inspirations and material, they dived
into a research of the performative quality of the voice. As a result, the
outcome combines material questions of space and body with more ephemeral
attributes such as the emotive, linguistic and informative qualities to the
human or non-human voice.
The piece includes AI and custom-generated texts as well as parts of the
Lärmschutzbericht 2019 of the Deutsche Bahn. It is put together of four separate
compositions that have been merged and over-lapped for the radio show.


Nathalie Brum is a sound artist and architect living and working in Cologne.
