The topic on 26 November 2021 is “Decoding of Cultural Codes”.


The current episode deals with cultural codes and how they can be decoded. Are
the structures in our life culturally coded? If so, what are these codes and do
they reveal how technical infrastructures are implemented? Beside the question
how technology operates, it is equally important to ask how it influences our
society. The conversation between presenter Diana McCarty, British artist Annie
Goh, German-Iranian media artist Nora Al Badri and Seda Guerses, professor in
the Department of Multi-Actor Systems at Delft University of Technology, deals
with questions of justice, the Black Lives Matter movement, institutional racism
and sexism in the education system.


The programme was played for the first time on 07th June 2020 as part of the
radio programme for the digital Latitude Festival and is now rebroadcasted.
