So I leaned heavily into the happy. Mostly disco and house. Sprinkles of acid and moments of progressive madness. Contains some of my all time faves: Diana Ross’ sassy version of one of the most phenomenal songs in the universe… Strawberry Switchblade, Rose McDowall’s ultra amazing 50% Siouxsie Sioux / 50% Madonna pop duo from all the way back, before she started to hang out with all the gloomy industrial boys… the Dubtribe track, which could be just another somewhat empty PLUR anthem, if Sunshine’s voice wouldn’t sound so desperate.
