It felt like time was slowing down. I think it was this sort of repetition, existing inside the foggy ocean of Jane Bruckner’s Beacon. Calling out and being found, a circling sort of search. Pulling on all these pieces of music that have such a deep influence for me, sharing again my new piece Midnight Fragments (written for 20 Seconds Magazine no.8). Living in this long stretched out world, changing, heavy, emotional, loaded, static, electric, poetic. Sitting a while in my kitchen, listening to the gas burner ticking away through the night, just enough light to stay awake by, unable to do anything else but close my eyes and go deeper into my headphones. This is what it’s for.
