Crush’s romance with Miriam Simun continues and CSC #23 explores a feeling that
arguably connects us all: jealousy. In an all-encompassing romantic and
political economy of forced (and fetishized) austerity, this “chameleon feeling”
comes in different colors. Its German equivalent Eifersucht preserves the late
Latin origin of zelus, i.e. “zeal” (Eifer), and accurately marries it with the
uncontrollable and always insatiable urge of Sucht (addiction). Jealousy, while
triggered by someone else’s action and/or mere presence, is entirely
