CSC #19 "Future Cocks" with Crush and Charlotte Dualé 09.09.2019

For CSC #19, Crush invited our friend Charlotte Dualé as a curater of the show.
Charlotte musically takes us back to the Parisian late 1990s and early 2000s by
merging tracks shazamed from burned CDs with her own highlights as an amateur
listener of popular and underground charts. The musical texture is enmeshed with
a staccato of obscure names – a robotic voice which penetrates us as much as the
“future cocks” she is naming. This fusion of the musical consumer culture of
the most recent fin-de-siècle with the outing of the very current
commodification of female sexuality for the sake of an ever-quicker “cum” is
meant as a commentary on the molding and restructuring of human sexuality and
desires by Capitalism.
