Description
This month's episode include the voices of some of the finest New York School
Poets. Though some may divide the New York School into PHASE 1, PHASE 2, with
different poets in each group, and though some of the poets classified as a 'New
York School Poet' have broken away from such a category, nevertheless, we have
gathered them here today under one title, for the sake of continuity and the
ever so loving boundaries of 'classification.' You will hear from poets like,
Alice Notley, Kenneth Koch, John Ashbery, Anne Waldman, Ted Berrigan, and Ron
Padgett, yes, yes, in that very order. Breaking the poets, one from the next,
you will hear field recordings of New York today, from it's local residents who
never managed to escape for whatever personal reasons they may have told
themselves. So, sit back and enjoy the world of poetry for a rushing hour and a
half!
