Description
The sound piece Traces of Continuity III (forever lurking in the background) connects universal themes of humanity with particular narratives and (dis)continuities. Original stones, taken from the archaeological site of Masada, were made audible through a specially developed process and used as the source material for further (re)synthesis . The field recordings are complemented by additional sound material that echoes the fantasy and ambient aesthetics of the piece, as well as distorted vocals reciting passages from the poem Masada by Yitzhak Lamdan. For Cashmere Sessions, Maria is performing an extended and reworked version of the original piece.
