Cashmere Sessions Adam Gottlieb - Bedpipes 01.02.2025

Australian sound artist and experimental musician www.adam-gottlieb.com performs his recent work "bedpipes" live for Cashmere Sessions. Akin to giant Bagpipes, or a DIY deconstructed pipe organ, a sprawling assemblage of inflatable mattresses, tuned PVC pipes and plastic tubing wind their way through the Cashmere Studio. Audience members are invited to recline on the mattresses in order to sustain the air pressure necessary to vibrate the membrane reed pipes. Built in air pumps control dynamic intensity, while pitches are activated and augmented throughout the piece using release valves, pipe extensions and hand gestures.
