Cashmere Guest Mixes : "Systeme rasten ein, ich raste aus" w/ Misha 05.02.2025

Experimental musicians in the East German state of the 80s faced brutal surveillance. Their scene was infiltrated by the Stasi, and they faced the threat of prison or expulsion from the state. Despite this, they collectively produced an astonishing body of work that ranges from raw 2 chord punk to dissonant and haunting avant-garde, via a good dose of existential post-punk. Without the musician's license required to legally play and record music in the DDR, the music featured here largely survived on tapes of home mixes or live recordings. These were circulated in small numbers among trusted friends or in some cases even smuggled beyond the Berlin Wall to West Germany.
