Experimental vocalist Stine Janvin and member of twisted industrial duo N.M.O,
Morton Olson, came by the studio and treated us to a spell-binding 90 minutes of
pensive electronic soundscapes that span needling electro-acoustic tones to
broad, pensive ambient palettes of sound.
Stavanger-born, Berlin-based vocalist Stine Janvin (pictured) works with
experimental music, sound and audiovisual performance, with a special interest
in the ambiguous and unrecognisable qualities of the voice. Her recent work is
focussed on imitation, acoustics and the physicality of sound. She explores and
challenges the physical features of the voice, the acoustics of her
external/internal surroundings, and new performance strategies.
