ANAK BERMASALAH // 问题儿童 (meaning “problem child” in Malay and Chinese), deals with Southeast Asian folk music/poetry archives, (but also secretly related to me being my parents' most problematic child).
The context of each recording is also discussed, which often includes a colonial history and the problematic titles/descriptions and liner notes. This includes the political context of which the recording took place, and the current situation of the area-- in accompaniment with field recordings and not-so-clever improvisation.
