Above The Clouds #8 w/ Katiusha and Happa & Jabes: Cirrus 15.10.2019

After a 2-month hiatus Katiusha is back with the 8th episode of Above The
Clouds: returning for a second meditation on the cirrus cloud as one season ends
and another begins.
The show invites two special guests from the UK, Happa & Jabes. After a
conversation about the similarity of granular synthesis and clouds they were
kind enough to compose an hour long piece for this episode.
In their words, the process involved using granular sampling to sonically build
the sky before adding textural elements and dissonant drones to emphasise the
wispy aspect of cirrus. The outcome is a mesmerising soundscape that drifts
between eeriness, warmth and reflection.
