Description
The official xChange Festival Feminist Playlist radio show returns for a second edition in 2020! The show is filled with strong, feminist songs, selected by contributors from Birmingham City University, Birmingham and Brum Radio - three each. The two parts of the show will feature live appearances from contributors to the playlist. They’ll be telling us about their selection of three songs and feminist interpretations. These are about personal connections to feminist ideas, appreciation of female artists in a male-dominated industry or just the enjoyment of music across the spectrum, from Punk through Pop to Jazz. Also featuring recommendations of events for International Women's Day around Birmingham.
Presented by Dr. Asya Draganova and Maggie Urbaniec. The show is a collaboration between the xChange Festival at BCU and Brum Radio.
