Description
Glyn Phillips returns with another 2 hours of eclectic grooves from around the world! After weeks of new releases from artists and record labels, the flow is slowing down and the tide is on the ebb. So, the show is about half new releases, half older tracks that I'm beginning to get a chance to play and are worth a listen.
Expect to hear vintage 1960s Spanish garage pop, a new release from 60s latin soul legend Joe Bataan, Ethiopian jazz, Ghanaian reggae, Jamaican steppers, Argentine electro-cumbia, Argentine Gipsy Tango, Portuguese Nu Fado, Galician folk-pop fusion and some more from a great album of 1960s & 70s Haitian music.
On the self-release side we have some steampunk funk from Lord Montague Jacques Fromage III and also some Stourport-based English acoustic folk from Wyldwood.
And on top of that there's more experimentation via Sonzeira from Brazil, Peruvian-inspired ambience from Mala, jazz from TKG, and what happens when Mozart meets an Egyptian ensemble!! Enjoy!
