Description
DJ and Presenter Glyn Phillips hosts a less-scripted, more free-flowing show in this week's episode of WorldBeatUK as he previews some of the tracks and styles that he might be dropping during his 4-hour set at The Rep Theatre on Friday (24 June) when he brings his GLOBAL SOUNDCLASH to the Late Stage as part of the Be Festival!
In the first 30 mins Glyn also chats to the Festival's Music Programmer Duncan Ballantyne - picking his brains about the BE FESTIVAL itself, the "Count Me In Referendum Party (ft. Manos Pa’Arriba)", the Global Soundclash and also about the other acts on the Late Stage this week (including Brum Radio's Mazzy Snape).
Amidst this there'll be afrobeat, soukous, makossa congolese rap, New Orleans street jazz, cumbia, electroswinghop, soul, reggaeton, balkanbeats, balkan brass, latin ska, reggae, and loads of mashups and fusions... Just a few of the many styles, beats and genres that Glyn will be playing at his live GLOBAL SOUNDCLASH at the Be Festival! Enjoy!
