WorldBeatUK with Glyn Phillips - August 2019 (05/08/2019)

In the August 2019 edition of WorldBeatUK, Brum Radio's resident world music devotee brings you music to quicken your pulse and soothe your soul!

The featured album is Loé Loá from Venezuela's Betsayda Machado & Parranda El Clavo with four tracks, but there's also two tracks a-piece from most of the other new releases.

Brazil alone is represented by the likes of Dona Onete, Ricardo Peixoto, Gabriel Grossi and Vitto Meirelles, but there's also 'imaginary folk' from Slovenia, Latin Bluegrass from Argentina, Celtic Chamber music from the States and Kiwi Reggae from New Zealand amongst others.

Finally, Glyn pays homage to New Orleans and in particular to two of its most feted musicians that passed away this year: Dr John and Art Neville.
