In the second of two 2-hour WorldBeatUKs for April 2020, Glyn investigates some more new, recent and forthcoming albums from around the world. From the Middle East there's the Golan Heights rockers, TootArd and the Yemeni singer Shiran, from Brazil there are new releases by Babu (of the Fantomaticos), Kiko Dinucci and Ozorio Trio and from Birmingham in the UK, we have Johnny Kowalski and the Sexy Weirdos.
The Caribbean is represented by Haitian band Chouk Bwa (in collaboration with Belgian electro duo, The Angströmers) and the legend that is Max Romeo, The US gives us Rachel Baiman, Western Centuries and the kirtan singers Kamini Natarajan and Jai Uttal - and from Africa and Indian Ocean there's music from Tamikrest, Santrofi, Etuk Ubong, Damily and Noukilla.
And finally from Europe we listen to the new albums from HCM Kubici (Czechia), Siobhan Miller (Scotland), Nils Kercher (Germany) and the Last Inklings and Kirsty Merryn (both from England).
