Description
On February's Overflow Show, Brum Radio's Glyn Phillips checks out some of the newest releases from around the world - from the retro-soul sounds of France's Alexis Evans to the rare groove of Australia's Lance Ferguson, and from the latin jazz of Cuba's Magela Herrera to the jazz latin of Colombia/America's Jah Lous!
Glyn also digs deep into the vaults of Argentina's ZZK label with tracks from some of their albums over the last 11 years or so, including their very first electro-cumbia album, as well as the latest electro-folklore album by Ecuador's Nicola Cruz. There are remixes from the likes of Birmingham's Sam Redmore as well as Capt Planet and Chancha Via Circuito, and new releases from German labels: Agogo Records (Mo' Horizons, Trio Toffa) and Philophon (Jimi Tenor with Florence & Lizzy Amaliyenga).
Glyn also returns for more music from two of his favourite albums from February's WorldBeatUK show: Miri by Mali's Bassekou Kouyate and The Road Not Taken by Ireland's Johno.
