Description
This months guest is the singer songwriter, and pianist, Katie Whitehouse - who shares her story and exclusive tracks from her debut album Drawing Lines .
Katie is a really interesting person and as our Glass Age King would say she ‘contains multitudes’ - in addition to her singing and songwriting she is a live booking agent and runs a music promotion company ‘ From The Whitehouse’ - I first met Katie on a Boo Hewerdine show she was promoting some 8 years ago. After the gig she sat at the piano and played me her song ‘Spaces’ and I was blown away.
Katie is a poet, singer songwriter pianist and guitarist and in this revealing interview she talks about the benefits of collaboration within the creative process, her composer Father, & musical influences ranging from Doobie Bros to Elvis Costello.
She also explains how upon discovering the art of songwriting in her mid 40s she found herself writing so many songs she felt like a magician with a seemingly endless supply of fresh eggs!
