This week Max Essa provides a mix for the last hour of the show. Max has been no stranger to our playlists over the last two years and he puts the gorgeousness in Balearic music and the good stuff in Deep House. Max has also been active as a DJ and producer since the early 90s having released music on Warp Records and Paperrecordings.
We are a big fan also of his album 'Lanterns' on Music For Dreams, if you fancy choosing a first listen and delving deep into his large back catalogue – go for that one!
Max holds two residencies in Tokyo, Lone Star at the legendary Bonobo Bar with Ken Hidaka and Dr Rob (BanBanTonTon - easy Rob!) and also he can be found playing Fridays at the ever-popular Aoyama Tunnel.
We are glad to have Max join us on this show. Tom digs deep for the first two hours and brings a plethora of music from his vinyl assortments at home.
