Screen Brum tackle the thorny issue of death and dying on screen. We talk about how illness and the end of life has been shown on screen over time. To guide us though this topic Blake and Tim and joined in the studio by Michele Aaron, an academic from the University of Birmingham who has written extensively on film and death. We are also joined by Dr Anna Lock, a specialist in palliative care.
We talk about how filmmakers deal with death - good, bad and funny. And, as ever, we play clips and music from some wonderful films.
