Hinterland: Sound & Picture Poems is a 'Radio-Film Trilogy, a sound collage, using a cut & paste/mixtape technique, to form a contextual framework for Georgiou & Tolley’s wider socially engaged, Art & Language inspired work. Part of Creative Multilingualism/Slanguages (AHRC funded project, led by Oxford University), investigating connections between linguistic diversity & creativity. Hinterland is based on the duo’s ongoing artistic practice-based research, exploring history, memory, visual language & archive as cultural memory.
