Martin was born on Merseyside and raised in the Black Country where he currently lives and works. He has an MA in Creative Writing from Birmingham City University. He is a visual artist as well as a poet, and loves writing about place and environment, and matters of the body, mind and spirit. He is the winner of The Broken Spine Chapbook Competition 2024: “This Wilderness & Other Concerns” will be out in September 2025.
