Inspired by her time teaching seven-year-olds in Bilston and the Middle East, she has written on such compelling subjects as the sparrows that appear in zoo enclosures the fact that nothing rhymes with ‘orange,’ but also delves into psychological phenomena, issues of identity and political themes.

Kathryn O'Driscoll is the 2021 U.K. Slam Champion and World Slam Finalist, she talks openly about mental health, neurodivergency, disability, LGBTQIA+ issues and survival in her poetry. Her debut collection ‘Cliff Notes’ was released by Verve Poetry Press earlier this month.
Emma Purshouse
Emma was the first Poet Laureate for the City of Wolverhampton She is a poetry slam champion and has performed at spoken word nights and festivals across the UK, often using her native Black Country dialect in her work.
Emma’s debut novel ‘Dogged’ (Ignite Books) was published in 2021.
