My Definition of a New York Block Party

If bands are allowed to make 'concept albums', I think it's only fair that, every once in a while, us DJs can record a 'concept mix'.

With that in mind, here is my take on the block party scene of the late 70s & early 80s in Brooklyn & The Bronx.

This mix contains elements of hip-hop, electro, disco and soul, but with a modern house flavour

Break out some lino, light a fire in an oil drum, bust some moves and enjoy!
