When I used to mix in public, I sometimes started a mix by a “cool” song which was already too powerful, so the second one was almost acceptable and then boom. Nonstop powerful electro. The crowd on the dancefloor could not resist to jump around and shout out loud.
On these nights I was mixing hard, some guys used to call me John Tabasse ("tabasse" in French means "beat up" but also means something that is quite powerful, like music).
