Ultimately 1989 was the year when everything changed, when what was popular and what was cool became the same things and genres of hip-hop, dance and rock got along together and interbred, with thrilling results. De La Soul were sampling the Turtles, the Monkees and Led Zeppelin, acid house was incorporating breakbeats. New Order hung out in Ibiza and released their "Balearic" album. In Sheffield, Warp Records was founded, providing an outlet for homegrown futuristic rave hits and wonky electronica. Rock refreshed in U.K. and Europe in many different directions but in U.S. remained almost the same sound as used to be by the previous years.Finally we got a lot of classics ,unforgettable songs and artists from that M.T.V.
