Description
Tin Machine performed at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago, Illinois, on 7 December 1991. A Special Benefit Show For The Children's Memorial Hospital. It might have seemed like a too-small venue for a band fronted by David Bowie, but that was deliberate. In an interview, Bowie explained that the band purposefully booked intimate venues of a few thousand seats or less so that they could focus on the music without any theatrical trappings. That night they played songs off of both Tin Machine records along with a Roxy Music cover and the Pixies’ song “Debaser.” The setlist ‘Crack City’ ‘Bus Stop’ ‘A Big Hurt’ ‘Goodbye Mr Ed’ ‘Baby Universal’ ‘Go Now’ ‘Sacrifice Yourself’ ‘Stateside’ ‘Betty Wrong’ ‘Debaser’ ‘If There Is Something’ ‘I Can’t Read’ ‘Heaven’s In Here’ ‘Sorry’ ‘Amazing’ ‘Baby Can Dance’ ‘You Belong In Rock N’ Roll’
