DJ BastiQ [Bastiek] was born Bastiaan on May 23, 2005, in Utrecht, Netherlands. Bastiaan developed a passion for music at a young age. His greatest wish was to have a Pearl drum set. He began taking drum lessons at the age of four. As a huge fan of Michael Jackson, he loves to drum along to Michael’s music. His first public performance was therefore a solo to “Thriller.”
In the summer of 2014, he discovered dance music as his musical style. This new phase is linked to DJing and producing electronic dance music. He will continue his studies in this field starting in 2022 at the Herman Brood Academy (HBA) in Utrecht.
His musical style is characterized by the melody and energy of the genres Mainstage, Future Rave, Progressive, Trance, and Techno.
