The live album is a much maligned art form. From the overdubbed crowd hysteria on the cash-in releases of 70s pop acts through to the, let's be honest, total lack of decent live pop or hip-hop albums... they really are best appreciated by people who were actually there.
But not all of 'em.
In tonight's BAOL show Steve showcases incredible live performances captured forever for repeated enjoyment. Most of the acts here are Mojo cover stars... the sort of stuff you might hear elsewhere and rarely on 1BTN but these performances show exactly why they straddle both camps.
This is BAOLstock: one stage, and each act gets to perform one song. Sit back (or stand if you'd prefer) but remember others at the gig want to listen to the bands and not you so STFU and enjoy!
