Hope you all had a relaxing and fun holiday season and aren’t all straight back to work just yet. Here’s the first show of the new year, and I took a look back at all the release from the previous 12 months. As always, there were loads of incredible records released. I tried to find a selection that balanced some of my absolutely favourite releases, with some things I love from 2025, but hadn’t gotten around to playing on the show before. Must keep it interesting for all you lovely regular listeners! It was aided of course by loads of people posting up their end of year favourites lists, when `I always come across records I’ve missed. And a big shout out to Steve KIW for the bonus MixCloud only track, which has become a big favourite with me and Balearic Wife. Big shout out too to Nick, landlord from The Urchin, for the late call on “the Mumbai Exchange” LP, and to the excellent Tom at Dubwise Vinyl who sold me every record in the short dubby section of the show – what a shop!
