Let's leave the words to Steve: "Inspired by a conversation a while back I thought I'd do a show of tracks strictly from compilation albums. Not from Hits or Now! but from some of the incredible gateway records that have been put together by people with wonderful record collections and by labels with extensive back catalogues of hard to find stuff. I've curated (sorry!) my own collection of about 500 comps over the years and they have led me down so many musical rabbit holes and introduced me to so many artists, genres and labels that it'd be a shame not to shine a light on them. Nowadays a lot of tracks appear exclusively on vinyl on comps or, increasingly, are produced solely to include in one. Time for a new series, let's celebrate the comps!"
